We curate genuinely free
tools. Full stop.
The internet is flooded with "free" tools that are only free if you never actually use them. We built FreeToolsHub to cut through the noise — every tool here either has a real free tier or supports BYOK.
Our Principles
No Fake Free Tiers
Every tool listed either has a genuinely free tier with real functionality, or is BYOK. We don't list tools that put a credit card gate behind their 'free' plan.
Manually Curated
We test every tool before listing it. Not just 'we heard about it' — we actually use it to make sure the free tier is real and useful.
Updated Regularly
The AI space moves fast. We monitor listings for pricing changes and update or delist tools that no longer meet our standards.
Community Driven
Anyone can submit a tool they love. We review every submission and give full credit to the submitter.
Listing Criteria
For a tool to appear in our directory, it must meet at least one of these criteria:
- Tool has a working free tier with meaningful functionality
- No credit card required to access core features
- OR: Tool supports BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) with your own API credits
- Tool is web-based or has a prominent web interface
- Not abandoned or severely outdated
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What does BYOK mean?
Bring Your Own Key. The tool itself is free — you just supply your own OpenAI/Anthropic/etc. API key and pay those providers directly (usually fractions of a cent per request).
Q: What's the difference between Free and Freemium?
Free means the core features are totally free with no paywall. Freemium means the tool has a solid free tier but also has paid upgrades — think Canva or Notion.
Q: How do I report an outdated listing?
Use the Submit page to let us know. We review all feedback and update listings quickly.
Q: Can I submit my own tool?
Yes, as long as it meets our criteria. We welcome legitimate tools from founders, developers, and users alike.
